S com Dual Channel Compressor Limiter The
S com is a dual-channel, single rack space stereo compressor designed to
control signal levels in a variety of applications. S com's logical
design and layout make it simple to understand and easy to use. Its
sonic integrity offers clean, distortion free audio, and a predictable,
usable range of control from undetectable to clearly identifiable. Each
channel combines an Expander/Gate, a Compressor/Limiter and a fully
adjustable Enhancer. This unique circuit reduces noise, increases
loudness and recovers high frequencies that might otherwise be
compromised when audio is heavily compressed. The Spectra switch adds a
mid-band boost to the detector circuit to help smooth out harsh vocals. The
Expander/Gate features a variable Threshold control and switchable
(fast/slow) Release time. The Gate's operation is easily visible with
twin (open and closed) LEDs. The S com's Compressor/Limiter controls
include Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, and Output. The Auto function
continuously analyzes the audio input, and automatically adjusts the
attack and release parameters based on the changing level. A Key input
and Key Listen feature provides for external triggering, or EQ, of
dynamically processed signals.

S-com Plus Dual Compressor
Limiter + Gate The
S com plus is a highly adaptable stereo compressor/limiter in an
efficient single rackspace design. It is intended for situations where
extra flexibility is required to optimize signal levels. It delivers
essential control along with simplicity of operation. S com plus's
comprehensive and wide-ranging controls provide extensive manipulation
of audio dynamics, even in the most complex situations. Each
channel features a wide range of variable control. A feature-rich
Compressor section includes variable Threshold, Ratio, Attack and
Release controls. Samson's SKD (Smart Knee Detector) circuit dynamically
adjusts the compression curve to ensure a musical result. Our exclusive
AEG (Auto Envelope Generator) function simplifies optimum settings by
constantly analyzing the audio input and automatically adjusting the
attack and release parameters based on the changing level. Key Inputs
and Outputs are included for externally processing the control voltage. The
Expander/Gate features a variable threshold level and switchable release
time (fast or slow). The Gate switch changes the downward expander ratio
from "light" to "hard" gating for control ranging
from subtle to an obvious effect. A dedicated Peak/Limiter with variable
control provides protection against peak and overload independently of
the compressor. When used in combination with the Compressor the
Peak/Limiter offers even more precise control over dynamic levels. A
functional De-esser improves audio quality by removing "S"
from vocals and sibilance from overly bright signal sources such as
cymbals. The Enhancer switch engages the EFR (Enhanced Frequency
Recovery) circuit, which restores high frequencies that are sometimes
diminished by heavy compression. Extensive metering includes
Input/Output, Gain Reduction, De-esser Level, Gate Open/Close and Limit.

S Curve 231 Dual 31 band Graphic Equaliser The
S•Curve 231 is a
professional quality equalizer that gives you precise tonal control over
a stereo, or two mono audio signals. Center detented sliders with LED
illumination allow you to selectively cut or boost selected frequency
areas by as much as 12 dB. Front panel controls include output level
sliders, a variable Lowcut filter, as well as Cut Only, Range and Bypass
switches. The
rear panel provides electronically balanced inputs and outputs on ¼-inch
and XLR connectors. Thanks
to low noise circuitry, the S•Curve
231 can be used in a wide variety of applications, including live
performance (in conjunction with either Front Of House or monitor
mixers), in broadcast environments, or for recording.
FEATURES The
S•Curve 231 is a two channel equalizer. Each channel provides 31 bands
of equalization, with each frequency band representing 1/3 of an octave
in the 20 Hz to 20 kHz range. Constant
Q circuitry ensures that the bandwidth of the selected frequency area
stays the same even when approaching maximum boost or attenuation. As a
result, phase shifting and intermodulation distortion is greatly
reduced, making for pristine sound. The
S•Curve 231 can be
set for either 6 or 12 dB of gain and attenuation for each of the
frequency bands. For
monitor applications, the S curve 231 can be set for CUT ONLY mode
providing up to 12dB of attenuation with full slider range. Ultra-low
noise circuitry ensures superb audio fidelity. Variable
Low Cut Filter for removing rumble and floor noise can be adjusted from
15 to 200 Hz. Electronically
balanced XLR and TRS inputs and outputs. Front
panel, hard-wired, relay controlled Bypass switches (with dedicated
Bypass LEDs) allow the equalization circuitryand output level control to
be activated or deactivated.Main Level control enables output signal to
be attenuated or boosted for optimum signal-to noise ratio. LED faders
and 8 segment LED bar VU meters.Relay power-on circuitry prevents
speaker “thumps” when the unit is turned on.Internal power supply
ensures reliability and trouble-free operation.Standard 19”, 2
rack-space design for easy integration into any travelling or fixed
installation audio system. All-steel chassis makes the S•Curve
231 eminently road-worthy.

S-phone
- Four Channel Headphone Amplifier The S phone
is a versatile single rack space four channel headphone amplifier,
loaded with advanced features that provide tremendous flexibility for
monitor and cue mixing. The Master Input features an input level and LED
meter to control and display the overall stereo input. Each of S
phone's four channels includes three Headphone Outputs with an overall
Volume control and individual Level meters. A convenient Stereo
Auxiliary input is available on each channel so that individual line
signals from direct or buss outputs can be mixed with the main stereo
input. The Balance control adjusts the ratio of the Main and Auxiliary
signal or the left to right balance (based on the setting of the ST/2CH
switch) so that each headphone mix can be further tailored for a
particular listener's individual needs ("More Me"). For greater
sonic control, S phone also features a 2-band equalizer on each of the
four channels. A master Stereo Aux input on the front panel is also
supplied for inserting a second signal to all headphones.
